Gary Fisher
My artistic interest in atmospheric phenomena began in the 1970s where I made several mixed-media pieces combining photography, wood, metal, and acrylic. Since then I have created a large body of photographic studies of clouds using panoramic and 3-D photography.
My recent cloud inspired pieces include abstract painted skyscapes, multimedia cloud displays, cloud simulations utilizing micro-controller driven mists, a foldable origami cloud display, mixed media pieces incorporating cloud photography, beading neon and optics, and a series of dye diffusion photographs entitled "Temporal Shift".

Abstract Skyscape Paintings
I paint my abstract skyscapes in acrylic and aerosol media. None of these are taken from photographs nor represent actual clouds. My intent is to represent the ethereal and implied evanescent nature of cloud phenomena without context. Below are a few examples of this work.
